Dallas
Dallas is the third largest city in the State of Texas. Texas declared its Independence from Mexico, and then it got annexed to the U.S. In the early 1900's, they discovered the East Texas Oil Field; it is the second largest in the U.S. The city of Dallas boomed and start growing very fast. Also the first Neiman Marcus was opened in Dallas. As any city, it has its black period, President John F. Kennedy (JFK) was assassinated while he was riding his car. After they opened DFW airport the city became very popular again.

I have prepared a one day guide to help you cover the top attractions. If you wish to make your own, scroll down!
DAY 1
You will not need a car today! After breakfast or coffee, our first meeting point will be Dealey Plaza; place where President JFK was assassinated. There is a Memorial dedicated to the president. Besides the plaza, you can find the Sixth Floor Museum. I totally recommend paying a visit to this museum. Here is the site that the snipper used. After here, you have three options:

First: Two blocks from here is the Reunion Tower, if you want to see the whole city from above, make a quick stop here.

Second: Crossing the street is the Old Red Museum of Dallas County History & Culture; it houses cool artifacts from the city.

Third: Move to the next stop.

Take Main St and make a right on N Lamar St, keep walking until you reach Pioneer Plaza; it has cool Cowboy Sculptures. Take some pictures and then return using the same path. Once you get to Elm St, make a right. You will pass the Giant Eye Ball sculpture and when you reach N Ervay St, make a left. Two blocks away you will find Thanks-Giving Square. It is a little museum and chapel with a very beautiful ceiling.

Hopefully you enter that little chapel. Keep walking until you reach Klyde Warren Park. This will be our last stop; now you are located at museum district. If you are not a museum lover maybe you can skip this part, but I will totally recommend Nasher Sculpture Center. It has a great collection of modern and contemporary sculpture. Here you can also find Dallas Museum of Art and Trammel & Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art.

Time for dinner! Texas is the author of the famous Tex-Mex cuisine. It is a different version of Mexican cuisine. The popularity of this type of food has mislead Americans about the actual Mexican food. Obviously, there are a lot of Mexican places as well. Texas is known for having good Steakhouses and Brisket!

If you have an extra day, I will totally recommend visiting the George W. Bush Presidential Library. It is far away from the city, so you will need a car.

Oklahoma City 206 miles

Little Rock 319 miles

A car is recommended in Dallas. Some areas have expensive parking (Downtown as always). The city is very large, so getting from point to point walking is not recommendable. You can also get an Uber to move around. If you like adrenaline, visit the Zero Gravity Park where you can do a Free Fall. I would not recommend to go up in Reunion Tower unless you want to see the city. If you would like to go up to the Tower get the City Pass which also gives you access to Sixth Floor Museum and George Bush Library.

Tallest Buildings:
Bank of America Plaza, Renaissance Tower, Comerica Bank Tower, and JP Morgan Chase Tower.

Landmark Points:
Reunion Tower $

Deep Ellum (nightclubs and bars), Downtown, South Dallas (bars & nightclubs), Design District, Lower Greenville, Uptown or Oak Lawn (Hipster vibe) are good places to have a drink.

If your plan is going shopping, check out Galleria Dallas or NorthPark Center.
